Relationality
we read about THAT we are relational beings but rarely do we read WHY.
All my work and writing is based on my book the One Living System (found here). Our place amongst the sacredness of Life and the journey of our return back to its oneness is this moment and the next ... how we live into this, will depend on our waking as the giants that we are to all we can offer to this Life.
That we are relational has now almost become a common knowing.
When once we would use the term relational or relationality we were met with a quizzical gaze, there now seems to be a common understanding. We are relational beings. We are here in relation to and with all else around us.
That relationality doesn’t stop at people or animals, it is kin to all things, critters, creatures, above, below, within and around. It is trees and all biota, it is to all things, including stars.
We are in direct relationship with Life and all of creation.
That we belong is at every moment an essential tone to our dancing. Radically localised to people and place, relational to the land and people is how we will grow. We are relational beings having a relational experience in this lifetime. All things that brought us to now in expression and experience, holds us to our greatness to become and as we grow into that becoming we expand.
One Living System
We are designed as an interrelated species, a relational species.
To explore the framework principles of the Living System of Life, we see that there is an endless infinite connection and flow between and with and amongst all things. Relationality is at it’s lead point where it allows all to flow through it alongside the ripple effects of its existence - meaning - because we are relational all things become and continue.
Relation - as an intention says:
In relationship we are relating to all things as one. Relationship is an action of the Universal Creation Laws in which we are offering of ourselves as an experience of Life and receiving an experience of life. Always flowing. As we relate, we build and establish connection for Life and all living things AS a relational existence....
So that we are relational is easy to realise and easy for us to hold as aha when it comes to how we build forward.
It’s the WHY that we need to truly understand.
More than THAT we are relational, comes why are we relational?
The answer is - This is who we are.
We discover we are the relationship
We realise we are Life becoming aware of itself - and itself as all things.
- our relationality reveals we are a pattern amongst the meaning of All That Is -
Why are we relational - because we are one with all of Life.
Because we are a part of all things - and so HOW we move forward - is in action from this space of wholeness.
WE ARE SACRED like the birds and stars, like the trees ALL things exist as sacred threads of the Divine and are interwoven in such a manner that every action holds deep vibration from its occurrence, as does every inaction. Every moment of Life’s breath holds resonance to All things, for All things.
The key to the management - the WELLth - the upholding of all things is the relational threads of it.
WE ARE the knowing conscious relational threads to this Living System.
Take that in. Let it settle within. Can all else exist without humanity - of course - it can and it will in a wild untamed manner. Why does humanity exist - with capacity beyond our own awareness still - because we are the existence created to uphold harmony for Life. We are the orchestrators, the caretakers, the stewards YES we are the eyes and ears of this. We are the flow that allows Life to have hands and hearts on the ground.
the why - is because we are sacred and so - we recognise our oneness - our unity and we realise that within us is the meaning all along for our existence and for the capacity to be of greatness to all else.
Which is why the depth of terrible pain and trauma that we have existed in until now, torn from our true meaning, ripped from that which we belong, harming that which is kin, destroying that which is brethren - we are wretched - with our own destruction and demise.
And then … maybe we realise all that we are … the sacredness, the oneness and we build anew from this space.
The key to relationality - entrainment
Entrainment is not our way for embodying the One Living System deeper into our being, it is how we already are one with the Living System.
The process of entrainment is at-onement. At the same time as being alive with one, we are also alive with another, there is a pattern of familiarity to each other. It allows one thing to have the same rhythm as something else. Through entrainment it is ‘felt’ through the system as one. More than harmony, more than synchronicity, it is again only definable as at-onement.
When we entrain something we become one with it. Entrainment is how we beat as one within the system. It is the 'as within so without' part of the Living System. It is the responsive, alive, intimate, RELATIONAL spark within the Living System. It is the internal BEING of the Living System and it exists in us all.
To begin the process of entrainment we can lean in to understanding the simple flow that it holds and that begins with Relation.
Life is a relational experience. The Living System IS relational to all things as and of itself. It is the flow of all things through and of itself. Remembering that entrainment is the, as within so without part of the puzzle that is occurring within us that is also occurring on the outside of us, that which we resonate within, resonates around us. The action of entrainment is the internal Living System model occurring on an energetic level.
Relation is the flow of the dynamics of energy. To be in relation with someone or something is to be at one with it. It is to recognise and relate 'all' as our own self. The external expression of relation - is relationships. We hold relationships to connect as a union. To hold relation to the Living System - to others - to the Earth - to all sentience - is the foundation of this relation-ing. When we align with our right relation as who we are, that is as one with the Living System, my heart beat is yours, as is the breath of the tree ours, as is the network roots of creation holding the soles of our feet.
Symbiosis comes alive when we are able to recognise and relate to all things as one with who we are - that I see myself within you - within the Earth, within All That Is - we then see, move with and flow as the patterns that we share. This relation opens us to synchronise as one. To fall into symbiosis as one. To recognise each other and the eternal flow of life, we seek to act, mimic and be one with all of life. When in tune with this, this isn't something we attempt to do, it is as we unfold and unravel our masks, that we realise it is who we are.
One heartbeat as the pulse of life that is existing within all things, as all things. We are all the energy of life. We are all one energy that expresses itself in its many forms. We are all as much expression as experience and we can experience life in all its forms through each other. One heartbeat - one life force - as the eternal energy that beats through All That Is. And so we don't just embody (express) as another we entrain and be at ONEMENT with all forms, without separation. There is no me, or I or you - there is only ONE. There is no individual form of life, only Life itself as one system that flows and expresses uniquely into form.
That we are relational beings means we seek relational connection. Weaving our sacred connections together.
And so there is nothing left than to begin. To determine within our own self where we are at in our relational journey with our own Self, and ALL of Life around us. How willing are we to truly fall into the spaces of relationality and offer ourselves in service to Life and All That Is in order to build community and connection, to care, to nurture the WELLth for all?
In part the answer to this is determined by our own level of Self awareness and the willingness for truth and authenticity to be our hands and hearts to expand and grow with that … How willing are we to show up in a manner that is real and how desirous are we of meaning?
Do we really want to be a keystone species and do we really seek the paradigm shift?
The only way this happens, is through re-membering, that we are sacred oneness with Life, and returning to our place amongst it upholding the WELLth for all through our relational at-onement.
