All my work and writing is based on my book the One Living System (found here). Our place amongst the sacredness of Life and the journey of our return back to its oneness ... All that I write and offer - is from Divine connection (meditative space) tossed with Life reality (#Living) and massaged thoroughly with conscious intention (universal awareness)
Tethered
I learnt about tethering when I was young. As hot air balloonists we would be asked to show up to events that weren’t in spaces suitable for a free flight (a flight that could simply fly as the winds allowed) Dense housing means no where to land. Airspace that had aircraft. There’s reasons why we’d fly in the country side.
We’d arrive, set up, inflate the balloon and tether it to two cars with sturdy ropes so the performance was visible but safety was kept.
Tethered souls
The tethering we have today is still about performance. We’re tethered to a system we don’t belong to. And all to perform under the guise of keeping us safe. It is a tethering that feels abrasive and limiting, more like a chain of control than a wisp of potential.
The tethered system we are currently hogtied to, where we feel the pinch, the burn of the ties - the effects of not being able to move freely as our being intends - this system of performance that we apparently rise amongst - even though we witness great destruction of human spirit in those who have made it, this system, is killing us.
The untethered wildly free soul, tethered to life doesn’t feel this.
Tethering was always a part of our being. We are tethered to Life. We are tethered to our natural place amongst the Living System. The cord is our breath, and being alive as the energetic essence of our existence is that cord.
It’s naturally where we belong and flourish amongst all of life. As the caretakers and heart of life’s creations our tethering keeps us aligned to its way. To its intentions and to its existence.
At the same time those who know this true tethered feeling recognise that it feels more untethered.
The kind of tethering that wills us to be wild and free to roam and that it is safe to do so when we play by life’s creation laws and exist amongst the wildness with care.
The kind of tethering that feels the aliveness, the wholeness, the oneness, and it knows in that depth there is only Life and her rhythms and cycles and protecting all things.
Our tethered being doesn’t belong to the paid performance of humanity. It belongs to life.
And so what are we to do? Many fear that cutting loose the ties means we fly solo, without realising our tethered oneness to our true holder is never severed. Cutting loose means we allow ourselves to be held once more by that which we not only belong to but are one with.
I suggest a thread by thread release, not a gash to the entire rope. I suggest a gentle release that allows and offers acknowledgment to each memory as it slips away, giving gratitude for what was is always an offering for all that can be.
I suggest time spent in softness and stillness and silence in order to recognise these ties that bind us, so there is awareness to the severing. I suggest awareness of that which we belong to again be given as much time as we can offer in order to recognise all that we are, and will return to.
I suggest - we begin - as soon as we are bold enough, brave enough, courageous enough, calm enough to breathe our way forward in recognition and deep knowing of all that we are.
